Boracay Island Weather

James Boracay Island Weather

James asks…

Hello what are the best places in the Philippines to visit?

I guess I should qualify that question by saying my friend and I (both males) have 2 weeks to spend in the Philippines, Nov 15- 30..I have heard the weather is not so good in all the places so i am asking for recommendations from experienced travelers and locals. There are 7000+ islands so I figured hearing from an experienced travel/local would be a great idea.

We were thinking Manila, Boracay, Cebu/ Bantayan Island, and somewhere in Palawan. We are familiar with the Filipino culture as we have many of them here in my hometown. We would like to do some snorkeling/scuba diving, jetskiing, maybe see waterfalls, historical sights, we dont mind remote places for some of our trip BUT a big part of our trip is also that we also want to interact with the locals and be somewhere where there are people and nightlife/discos and things.

We would appreciate the advice of experienced travelers and locals.

Thanks a million
Fyi I am from the US. Thanks for the recommendation..I love all the specifics regarding restaurants/attractions..keep them coming!

Players Club Tours answers:

Manila definitely – intramuros and rizal park for historical sights, try not to let the caballero drivers rip you off too much. Always try to not let the taxi drivers rip you off too much. Plenty of restaurants – try harbour view, hobbit house, aristocrat. Nightlife – ermita and malate. Cowboy grill is good for starters. More bars/clubs in malate. Manila bay for ww2 wreck diving

palawan – puerto princessa for the some of the best restaurants in the philippines and some nightlife, sabang for the underground river, el nido for snorkelling (at least 2 – 4 days in el nido, good accommodation at the alternative bar/restaurant/inn). Tubatabah reef for diving
*****seriously – go to el nido, go snorkelling in bacuit bay, find hidden beach (choose to be taken there)*******

cebu city – great city, great food (found good restaurants around the lahug area), good nightlife around the mango centre, great sightseeing and historic places. Cebu bay for spanish galleon wreck diving

bohol (short ferry ride from cebu city) – plenty of sightseeing – historic churches, waterfalls, caves, the chocolate hills, the tarsier sancturay. Alona beach panglao for resorts + food + nightlife + diving. Tagbilaran for local nightlife and tricycles
