This year my family and I went to St. Thomas and had a wonderful time. Here is some things I would recommend that you definatly have to do during your stay.
Restaurants- Shipwreck Tavern was a cute little place, good food, not too expensive.
Fat Turtle was an outside restaurant which was nice.
Havana Blue at the Marriott where we stayed looked nice, very, very, very pricey though. Probably $200 for 2 people.
Gladys’s Café was awesome. It was located in downtown charolette amalie in an alley way. The people are so friendly and the food was great!
Hooters was good.
Beaches, beaches, beaches- St. Thomas is home to some of the best beaches in the world. Linquist beach is kind of hard to get to, however its one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. There is a little dirt road and you just drive your car down(i recommend you rent a car) adn there it is. It said there was an entrance fee, but there really wasnt. There was a commercial filmed there for corona. Sapphire beach was beautiful, the different colors of blue were so pretty to the eye. The snorkeling was pretty good there. Morningstar beach at the marriott was also very nice. Whatever you do, do NOT waste your time going to coki. On our drive to coki we drove through some ‘rough’ spots of St. Thomas. Finally after the barbed wire fences, graffited walls, knocked down signs, we got to Coki Point beach. I really wanted to get to coki because it was said to have excellent snorkeling. So we pull up and there is an onsite cemetary, this was kind of freaky. So we park the car, LOCK THE DOORS, and get out. There are all these people walking around in red t-shirts, red pants, red hat, etc. Asking us if we need ‘anything’. We were really scared and got right back into the car and headed to linquist. Also magens bay was beautiful. Its a mile long beach. It has a beach bar and a food bar. It was truely beautiful. If I were you I would take a car barge($42 dollars round trip) to st. John, like we did, and experience St. Johns beautiful beaches. Trunk bay was our favorite. The underwater snorkeling trail was so cool, the water was so warm, and the water so clear.
Sites- We didn’t really go site seeing other than going shopping in town. I heard Drakes seat was a pretty cool place to go see the carribean sea and the boardering islands. Also I heard the Paradise Point Skyride was something a lot of people do. In town, there is a thing we called Tent City, its like a little shopping market. This is where we got ALL of our souveniors .We went to ‘Tent City’ so many times, we loved it there. There is so much duty free shopping in charolette amelie.
I hope you have a great time!!!!!! We surely did!
