So can someone with personal experience with the hair give me a general idea please.

If it is real Brazilian Remy Hair, the hair can last 6 months to a year texture wise. As far as it being glued in, the glue will probably stay for about 2 weeks before it starts to un-glue from the scalp due to natural oils and products you put into your hair to style it.

A sew-in lasts longer and people usually keep a sew-in up to 3 months. The hair is reusable and can be re-installed after you have taken your sew in out. You can keep your sew in longer but for hair health reasons I wouldn’t recommend keeping a weave in longer than 3 months.

As long as you have good quality hair the hair itself should last 6 months to a year with proper maintenance. This does not mean that the hair is installed (glued/sew-in) for 6 months to a year. It simply means that the hair lasts that long and can be re-used multiple times within that year before it starts to get old and have to be thrown away.
