Backpacking in Thailand – online forums to meet people?
Hi, I am travelling around the world and one of my stops is Thailand – I have a close friends who lives in Bangkok but otherwise I’m going to be on my own.
Is there a forum or website where I can converse with fellow travelers to maybe arrange meeting up with or get information from? Thanks in advance for your help!

There are many travel forums for Asia destinations. Here are a few to look over. I like TripAdvisor best because their search function is efficient and can locate specific help.

For Bangkok it is helpful to have a hotel near the Skytrain so you can use that rail service to get around the city. When you ask for hotel recommendation always mention how much you want to spend on a room to limit the suggestions you get to what you can afford.
