Daniel asks…
Royal Caribbean Cruise to Alaska?
Hi,
I am wondering when they charge the purchases on the ship to my US credit card. Will I see the foreign transaction fee later in my statement? Or it’s just like shopping in US since Alaska is part of it? I am boarding from Vancouver..
And what’s the best method to pay in terms of minimizing those additional fees? cash or credit card?
Thanks to anyone who is willing to share their insights…
thanks,

That’s what is nice about using a credit card. When your in a foreign country all transactions are in American money and automatically the currency to changed for you. One tip though, be sure to call your credit card company right before your trip and tell them where you are going. Credit card companies get suspicious when seeing unusual charges, but if they know in advance that these charges are from you, then no problems will arise.
