Do you regret moving out of state or country to go to college?

I’m in SoCalifornia right now, but i really want to get out there while i’m still young and have no attachments. I’m thinking of going to new york, because i feel like i could meet many different people and it would be a wonderful experience. But then i also might just want to stay in a school here but study abroad (to paris or london) for a year or two.

and if i’m feeling really bold by next year (i’m a junior in high school right now) i might even go to a college in a different country! I don’t know yet

Any personal experiences?!

the only thing holding me back is i would really miss my mom, dad, and brother. and of course my friends. Honestly, mostly my family though. Thats really the only thing making me hesitant.
I’m thinking of becoming a writer (of any kind) or a teacher. I’m not sure though, i may change my mind along the road.
